This pattern comes from Stack a New Deck by Karla Alexander. I have used this book for several different quilt ideas (Red Onion and Cottage Quarters). Her instructions are clear and allow for your own creativity and variation.
I'm still awaiting a thank you note but I'm hopeful that they liked it.

it is fun, and modern! I'm sure it's loved...much thought and prayers go into a quilt like this for a gift, I gave one and received a quick thank you in a Christmas card (it was a May wedding) months later...oh, well.

Wonderfully warm colors. Good gift! I can't tell you how many quilts I've given as gifts and seldom get a handwritten thank you note anymore...
