Invitation

Victoria at Bumble Beans is an prolific quilter, not just for herself but also for the benefit of others. I recently participated in a charity quilt challenge that ended up as 8 quilts, bringing in donations for Haiti. Now she has offered an opportunity to participate in another worthwhile project. Make one or more of these 10.5 x 10.5 block houses and send them to her and she will be putting them together. Click on the sidebar button for more information.

Last Saturday, I got to teach a class at my local quilt store, Fabric Patch, Montclair, CA, introducing my Memory T-shirt Quilt. I didn't want to talk about it until I knew that it was a go. I had 6 ladies participate and all went well. I didn't have time to take a lot of pictures but I did shoot each ladies' layout. The store is offering this class again on April 1.

I bet that is a very popular class. I know so many people who don't really have an interest in quilting as a hobby, but want to make a quilt out of old t-shirts, jerseys, etc. Some interesting and creative layouts!

So glad to hear that your class worked out! How was it to be in front of a classroom again? :-} pokey

Looks like you are having successful classes. A neighbor of mine wanted to make a t-shirt quilt for her granddaughter and I helped get her started. I had never made one but was able to tell her how to put the fusible interfacing on the shirts to stabilize them. She worked for several months and one day called me over and she had it finished. It was so very pretty - she was so proud. Put it together with black fabric with white dots and tied it with yellow yarn. There is something for everyone in the world of quilting! Carol
