Country Garden Stage 2

Here's the squares that I finally picked. Tell me honestly if any should be thrown out or the layout changed.

I love the blues and green, they are so vibrant. The only fabric I'm not too sure about is the pale blue and white one that looks a bit like clouds....it's nice but not sure if it's too pale compared to the rest....or maybe you want to keep a paler one to lighten it a bit.

Looks great to me. I love blue anyway so you picked some of my favorites.

The fabric in the upper left hand corner kind of fades out compared to the others. If you squint at the smaller picture, on your blog, it totally disappears. When I click on the picture to get the full screen version, for some reason my eyes move smoothly over the layout, but totally ignores this one fabric.

I know that cameras are notorious for not showing the true colors so it may just be the picture and once you sash it the effect may change.

Sorry, I got a little wordy....but you asked LOL.

I looked at an enlarged version of your quilt. It is hard to determine for me if the corner piece that Crispy mentions is a problem or not as I had already read what she said and my eye went there right away. I do like what you have done. Do you have a reducing glass or one of those door peep hole things from the hardware store? That's a good way to look at the quilt and see if something is amiss.

Looks great to me, the only block I would move is the bright blue one third down on the left...I would move it down to the next row, just so it's further away from the same one above it..
But I love the blocks , it's going to be a beautiful quilt...

Your fabrics look good, Janet, and I am wondering which of the complementary fabrics will be filling in for the pink ones in the sashing and borders and also the other colors. Where will the pretty chartreuse fabric be? I think you are going to have a lovely quilt and it will be fun for you to keep trying one color against the other. You will come out with one lovely piece! Carol

The fabrics look wonderful. I like the fact that they all have different values and seemed to be placed appropriately with not too much dark or light in one area.

I like all of the fabrics you have in the grouping. I finished a large quilt a couple months ago from a class I took, made with fabrics in similar colors. At the insistence of the class teacher, I included tans and very pale fabrics, By the time all is together, it all works just fine.
This will be lovely.
