What a good idea to use traditional blocks for your overseas friend. I am sure she will appreciate your work.
What a special gift, hand quilted no less.
What a wonderful wall hanging!! She is going to love this slice of Americana :0)

Oh my, you're home!! Nice job on the quilt!
I blocchi tradizionali sono quelli che preferisco, quindi mi piace molto questa trapunta...fortunata chi la riceverà in regalo
Ciao Domenica
What a lovely and generous gift - I''m sure she'll treasure it.
It is beautiful! The hand quilting is precious! what a sweet present for your hostess :)
Hola he visitado su blog y me han gustado mucho sus trabajos

Lucky friend. That hanging is beautiful. I'm glad you enjoyed your trip to Japan. The weather lately has not been the best but it looks as if you overcame any inconvenience of heat or rain.
There are a number of places to but old fabric but it can get quite costly. Some Japanese quilters use a lot of silk but I have yet to try much of that. I prefer kasuri, the dyed and hand woven cotton.
