Ready to take along
I wasn't idle these past few weeks. The borders are ready for hand sewing. I'm planning to take it along on our next trip in March. I will also be visiting Washington DC while Jack is on business. I'll have the opportunity to visit the DAR Museum and see the Mary Mannakee quilt. Its my hope to duplicate the way it was hand quilted.

I guess I should look this quilt up!
Stunningly gorgeous Janet, I'm so impressed by your speed at prepping.
It's beautiful Janet...you are so quick prepping your work...that's the part I like the least!

Your MM quilt is so impressive. How exciting for you to get to see the original first hand!
You do such gorgeous work - and seem to do it so quickly. That is going to be an heirloom. What fun to get to see the actual quilt you are duplicating. Nothing like seeing it in person. Carol
Wow!! Beautiful borders!! The sewing part will take you no time now you have all the prep work finished.
I do hope you get to see the MM quilt.
Your projects are absolutely gorgeous!
Beautiful borders Janet. It is going to make a lovely quilt.
What a bonus to see the original quilt. I imagine you'll have your sketch pad with you to sketch the quilting.
WOW Janet the border is beautiful!! Of all the times I've been to DC on business I never did go to the DAR, but I wasn't quilting back in those days :0)
