Just when I thought I'd have to call, my ordered pattern came from DAR. This quilt was appliqued by Mary Mannakee in 1850. Janet from Quiltsalot showed this pattern on her blog and challenged others to tackle this project and I like a challenge. Have no one or place in mind for this quilt but I think it will be fun to follow along with others: Cathy of Cabbage Quilts , Jan from Bemused, Kathi from Inspired by Antique Quilts and Juliann from lining up my stitches.
(Tell me if you are doing it too and I'll add you to the list.)
Pattern is from DAR Museum, Washington DC: http://www.dar.org/museum/shop.cfm

you guys ares so adventurous! Happy stitching!
I could never do it... I'd have to find my own funky way to mess it up... ;-) good luck!
Janet, where did you purchase the pattern from? I've been admiring this quilt over at Quiltsalot and would love to purchase it. Work on it right now...no...but I would love to have the patterns.

What a beautiful quilt, Janet. If I were 10 years younger, I would join you but I will instead enjoy watching the progress made by you and the other quilters. Applique in any form is and has always been my passion. Will be watching for you to post pictures of your fabrics and to start doing the blocks. It will be such a wonderful quilt! Enjoy! Carol
that is a wonderful pattern, where did you order it from.

What a beautiful quilt! I will definitely be following the progress of this one.
Excellent! We'll cheer each other on, now which block will you start with? I'm loving doing the applique on this beauty.
Want to adopt me? ;>)
Such a beautiful quilt. I would love to make it. Maybe one day. As I see more and more finished blocks it may be sooner rather then later! :)
It's a beautiful quilt - you'll have lots of fun appliqueing! Have you chose any fabric yet?
wow--that looks crazy hard. can't wait to see you start (& finish) it!
Gorgeous quilt! It'll be fun to follow your progress from the sidelines :)
What a challenge! Go girl!
