Planning Stage

I saw this quilt hanging in a quilt shop. I received the book for Christmas and have been waiting for the right person to make it for. Kerry and John are the daughter and son-in-law of our best friends. They are great kids and were made for each other. When they moved into their newly renovated craftsman home, I asked if I could make them a king quilt.

These are the focus fabrics I've found for the block centers. Each one will be repeated 3 to 5 times. Are there any in the group you would recommend not using. I still have another shopping trip on Monday and I chance to find more.

Here's the stack of complements to use in the borders and sashing. Again do you have any suggestions.

Oooo pretty quilt. I really don't have a lot of suggestions but I think the green in the sashings will really make the quilt pop, the rest of the fabrics are play nicely together but don't let me discourage you from buying more fabric LOL.

Will you be using any pink as in the picture? Which one will replace the pink if you are not using it? It's going to be a beautiful quilt. Don't you just love the fabric picking stage of a quilt?

Gorgeous fabrics, Janet! It certainly appears to me that you have chosen colors that blend together beautifully and also that there is good really good contrast. If you see something that you can't live without you should buy it, of course, just because! Will be watching for your progress on a wonderful quilt for a very lucky couple. Carol

As if you need suggestions, lol. You have chosen a lovely colour scheme and it all looks good to me. When you start the blocks, you'll know if you have to add or subtract. I'm going to love watching you make this one.
